Budapest Day 2

Budapest Day 2

We are now experts - we must swim in the thermal pools - not sure why - just that everyone things it is a good idea - first some shopping - then a visit to Castle Hill - up the funicular - just another funicular - look out across the city - very nice - visit dungeons - housed 40000 german troops during the war - as a tourist destinations the dungeons are a litte confused - they are not sure what there are - our first encounter with crowds of tourists - one dreads what this place would be like in peak season - ah well -

if you don't like the crowds head to the baths - partly right - crowd not too bad but crowded nevertheless - accidentally find my way into a matrons exercise group - beat a hasty retreat - work our way through the various hot and cold pools - enjoyed - tired ourselves out -

headed home in a taxi - moderately priced providing you make sure they turn their meter on.

Sleep - arise in time to stroll down to the restaurant strip - select another restaurant - great night - wine good again - overall prices pretty good - cheaper than Australia.
